CHALLENGE
To redesign an existing book jacket.
APPROACH
The plot of Neil Gaiman's American Gods unravels itself over the course of the book. Nearly all of the existing book covers hint to one of the characters true identity without actually giving any indication to the larger themes of the book. Through photo manipulation I created this scene of a pagan altar on a discarded TV set to introduce readers to the central conflict of the story: ancient traditions versus modern worship of technology.
